Band
St. Jean Vianney offers a vibrant band program that is second to none in the diocese. Students perform for school pep rallies and two major concerts (a Christmas and a Spring Concert) and is taught by long-time diocesan music educator, Dr. Kevin Andry
Drama
The Drama Department at SJV offers students the chance to gain insight into the world of acting, explore their own talents, and develop their love for the performing arts. Our highly trained teachers and directors help unearth student potential, as young actors build trust and confidence in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Music
The Music Department at SJV offers an invigorating and creative learning environment, where students receive the necessary support and knowledge to hone their musical abilities. Our music teachers are highly experienced and willing to help students of all skill levels and age groups.
Choir
The Choir at SJV creates an acoustic journey that combines technical skill and teamwork to generate beautiful harmonies. Students have the opportunity to sing during church and special events.
Art
Open to students between grades 5-8, this initiative provides a monthly opportunity for those who share a passion for art - allowing them to express their emotions, thoughts, or ideas through creative pieces. There are also opportunities to contribute to the beauty of the school, such as painting rocks or birdhouses, as well as the chance to learn about an artist or hone their art skills through targeted activities.
Vianney Strings
The renowned Vianney Strings provide an opportunity for all violin, viola, and cello players who take private lessons to come together after school on Wednesdays for ensemble classes. The group is invited to perform with the school band in a combined orchestra twice a year - in December and May.
